COOKIE POLICY

WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small text files sent from the website to the data subject’s terminal (usually the browser), where they are stored and then sent to the website at each subsequent visit. A cookie cannot retrieve any other data from your hard drive, transmit computer viruses or acquire email addresses. Each cookie is unique to your web browser. We may use other technologies to perform some of the cookie functions. In this document, the term 'cookie' means both cookies as such and all similar technologies.
We can use cookies to record information about your preferences, such as the pages your browse or files you download from our website or other similar things you do when browsing our site.

FIRST-PARTY OR THIRD-PARTY COOKIES
Our site uses both first-party cookies (which are developed by the website Data Controller), and third-party cookies (which are developed by third parties with respect to the website Data Controller).

KINDS OF COOKIES
There are different kinds of cookies:
Technical cookies: Technical cookies are used exclusively with a view to "carrying out the transmission of a communication on an electronic communications network, or insofar as this is strictly necessary to the provider of an information society service that has been explicitly requested by the contracting party or user to provide the said service." (see Section 122(1) of the Italian personal data protection Code).
They are not used for other purposes and are usually set directly by the website manager or data controller. They may be grouped into:
– browsing or session cookies needed for users to navigate and use a website (e.g. to make a purchase, or log in to a password-protected section); these cookies are necessary for the website to function properly;
– analytics cookies, which are similar to technical cookies insofar as the website manager uses them directly to collect aggregate information on the number of visitors and the pattern of visits to the website in order to improve its performance;
– functional cookies, which allow users to set their browsing criteria (e.g. language, products placed in shopping cart) in order to improve the quality of service. Prior user consent is not required for setting these cookies (see the Managing Cookies section below for more information).
Profiling cookies: Profiling cookies are aimed at creating user profiles and are used to send advertising messages that match the user's web browsing preferences.
Data Subjects must consent to the use of profiling cookies. According to the Italian data protection authority's decision no. 229 of 8 May 2014, users must be able to give or deny consent to the setting of profiling cookies if they are present.
The site does not directly control third-party cookies, nor can it control them (it cannot either directly set them nor erase them). However, you can manage these cookies through your browser settings (follow the instructions provided below), or through the “Managing Cookies” section of the third-party sites.
You are therefore urged to check the third-party website indicated below.
This site only uses technical cookies.

LIFESPAN OF COOKIES
The lifespan of cookies depends on their expiry date (or on a specific action such as closing your browser) which is set when the cookie is created. Cookies can be:
• temporary or session cookies: these are used to store temporary information, to ensure that any information you have entered during a particular session is remembered and are erased from the computer when you close the browser;
• permanent or persistent cookies: these are used to remember your information, such as log-in username and password so you don't have to enter them every time you visit a specific website. These preferences are remembered, through the use of the persistent cookie, the next time you visit the site.
Session cookies are not stored after you leave this website. The IT systems used for this website use both session and persistent cookies.

MANAGING COOKIES
You can clear cookies on websites by downloading specific software such as Ghostery (https://www.ghostery.com) for your browser and disabling the use of individual cookies. You can also activate “anonymous navigation”, which allows you to browse without leaving any tracking information in your browser. This function only allows you to specify whether or not to keep the browser tracking data.
Alternatively, you can disable/delete cookies through your browsers settings.

ACCEPTING AND NOT ALLOWING COOKIES
By continuing to use this website - closing the information banner or clicking on any part of the page or scrolling to highlight more content - you accept our Cookie Policy and cookies will be set and collected. If you do not accept cookies by leaving the page, any cookies already registered locally on your browser will remain there but we will no longer read or use them until you accept the Cookie Policy another time. You can remove these cookies at any time, using the methods provided.
